A 6-3 Sunday win over the Cincinnati Reds has vaulted the Brewers back into first place in the National League Central Division standings.
Victor Caratini and Hunter Renfroe did the heavy lifting on offense with each of them pounding a two-run homer.
The win gave the Brewers a sweep of the weekend series in Cincinnati, ran the winning streak to four in a row, and gave manager Craig Counsell’s team seven wins in the last nine games.
Starter Adrian Houser claimed the win with a six-inning effort. Devin Williams got his fifth save.
Milwaukee starts a four-game series at American Family Field tonight with Cy Young Award-winner Corbin Burnes getting the start against the Cardinals.
