Three suspects from Madison are accused of kidnapping a man, taking him to a rural area in Columbia County, and shooting him in the head.
The victim’s name hasn’t been released.
Investigators say the three drove the dead man’s vehicle back to Madison and it was used in an attempt to run down another man.
28-year-old Jesse Freiberg, 38-year-old Laura Johnson, and 21-year-old Jakenya Patty are being held in the Dane County Jail.
They will be transferred to Columbia County where they will face homicide charges.
Authorities say Freiberg was the one who killed the victim.
