
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers scattered six hits in their 8-6 win last night against the Great Lakes Loons.
The Rattlers started strong, scoring three runs in the 1st and 4th innings, and carries a 6-2 lead into the 6th inning.
Antoine Kelly had a solid start, fanning 10 batters, but he did not get the win, as Joey Matulovich gave up four runs in the bottom of the 6th without securing a single out.
James Meeker came on to right the ship, before handing the ball over to Cam Robinson in the 9th.
The Rattlers plated two runs in the top of the 9th, and Robinson went 1-2-3 in the bottom half to secure the save.
The Rattlers will try to make it three in a row as they return to Dow Diamond in Midland Michigan for game two of their series against the Loons.
Ryne Morre will take the mound for a 6:05 p.m. first pitch.
