Two truck drivers were killed Tuesday morning in a fiery crash in Racine County.
Officials with the Union Grove-Yorkville Fire Department say the burning big rigs sent black smoke billowing into the sky.
It was visible for miles around.
The head-on crash happened on Highway 11 east of Union Grove and there was so much smoke traffic was disrupted on nearby Interstate 94.
No names have been released.
The Racine County Sheriff’s Office says a semi-tractor pulled a flatbed trailer crossed the centerline of the highway and caused the crash, slamming into a semi-tractor pulled a dry bulk trailer.
Both rigs were engulfed in flames.
