The Rock County Sheriff’s Office reports DNA evidence has been used to identify the skeletal remains found near Turtle Creek 27 years ago.
The person’s name will be released at a news conference later today.
Medical examiner’s offices in Rock and Dane counties provided samples for testing to the DNA Doe Project at the University of North Texas.
The man’s body had been found in a wooded area in November 1995.
Authorities have said the man estimated to be 17-to-20 years old had been dead for about a year.
