Wide receiver Allen Lazard has signed his restricted contract tender with the Green Bay Packers.
The fifth-year pro has a chance to be the team’s primary receiver after the departures of Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling in the off-season.
The Packers issued a second-round tender to Lazard meaning his contract will be worth almost $4 million.
At the end of the 2022 NFL season Lazard will become an unrestricted free agent.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has said Lazard has a chance to become his number-one target during the upcoming season.
Lazard hasn’t taken part in any of Green Bay’s offseason workouts.
As an unsigned player, that wasn’t required.
