A District Court Judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by a Manitowoc man against Manitowoc County Judge Robert Dewane, Court Commissioner Luke Leferve, and the State of Wisconsin.
Markola Williams claimed that Judge Dewane and Leferve were treating him unfairly.
In his ruling, Judge William Griesbach stated, “Although [Williams] may disagree with Judge Dewane and Court Commissioner LeFevre’s rulings, they were unquestionably made within the scope of their judicial capacity. Therefore, Judge Dewane and Court Commissioner Lefevre are judicially immune from suit.”
