The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers learned the hard way last night that you can’t win too many baseball games if you only get one hit.
Despite relatively good pitching, the Rattlers lost again to the Beloit Sky Carp 2-0.
The only Wisconsin batter to pick up a hit was third baseman Zavier Warren, while Sky Carp Pitchers only walked three batters and struck out 11.
The Rattlers pitching staff had an ok day, as starter Antoine Kelley went six innings, and allowed four hits and one run while striking out five batters.
Brady Schanuel came on in relief, and Tyler Giles closed out the game, and neither gave up a hit, although Schanuel did walk in a run.
The Ratters will try to end their two-game losing streak at ABC Supply Stadium tonight with Ryne Moore taking the mound.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
