
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers struggled on both at the plate and the mound yesterday as they lost at home to the Peoria Chiefs 6-0.
Russel Smith got the start for the Rattlers, but he gave up four runs on seven hits without recording a single strikeout in six innings of work.
Robbie Baker came on in relief, but he failed to stop the bleeding, giving p two runs in the 7th inning.
He did strike out four batters, but neither pitcher got any help offensively.
Only three Rattler hitters reached base, and Chiefs pitchers did not walk a single batter.
Both teams will converge on Fox Cities Stadium tonight for game three of the series.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:40 p.m. with Rattler ace Brandon Knarr slotted to get the start.
