Not only was Roncalli Catholic Schools’ 38th Annual Pierside Auction a success, but it also broke records.
Thanks to the generosity of area businesses and the Roncalli community, including faculty, staff, families, and alumni, the fundraiser gathered a total of more than $350,000, surpassing the funds raised last year of $308,000.
Following the interest in last year’s online auction format, the 38th auction retained the online component, but also returned as an in-person event.
Completely different items were available for bidding online from April 27-May 4 than at the in-person event, which took place on Saturday, April 30 at Roncalli High School.
Candice Giesen, director of development for Roncalli Catholic Schools, voiced her gratitude, saying “It was so wonderful to be able to invite everyone back into the building for this longstanding event, but also continue to offer a component of the auction online. Thank you to all our generous donors, sponsors, general co-chairs, committee members, faculty and staff, and everyone who supported the auction this year. We could not have done this event without you!”
