The Republican Johnson blamed “wokeness” and “indoctrination” for the shootings.
The Democratic governor says 80-percent of the people support red flag laws and expanding universal background checks.
Evers says the senator’s point of view is in direct conflict with what the people of Wisconsin want.
Both politicians were referring to the mass casualty event at a Texas elementary school that left 19 children and two adults dead.
