Robert J. Pribyl, age 70 of Manitowoc died Friday May 20, 2022, at his residence. He was born December 14, 1951, in Two Rivers, son of the late Joseph and Marion (Gorzlanzyk) Pribyl Sr. Robert went to school in the Mishicot school district and graduated from Mishicot High School with the class of 1970. On April the 28, 1973 Robert married the former Catherine C. Reznichek at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot. She preceded him in death November 4, 2021. He was employed at Manitowoc Cranes as a welder for 40 years until his retirement. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, former member of the Sacred Heart Choir, Gloria Dei Choir, and currently the Cecilia Men’s Choir for a combined 50 years.
Survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law: Scott (Heidi) Pribyl, Jason (Angela) Pribyl, Terry Pribyl all of Manitowoc; eight grandchildren: Joshua, Tyler, Kimberly, Crystal, Samuel, Hayden, Grace, and James; one great grandson: Delfino; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Joseph Pribyl Jr, Mishicot, Patrick (Dawn) Pribyl, Sussex; one sister and brother-in-law: Judith (Otto) Wordell, Mishicot; godchildren: Brian Wordell, Manitowoc, Andrew Pribyl, Two Rivers; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Donald (Anne) Reznichek, Waupaca, Betty Olivera (special friend Danny Brault), Manitowoc, Ann (Jim) Burkart, Branch, Karen (Ricky) Jones, Manitowoc, Sandy (Robert) Gleason, IL, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Catherine Pribyl; one daughter-in-law: Carrie Pribyl; one brother: James Pribyl, one sister-in-law: Sharon Pribyl.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday June 1, 2022, at St. Francis of Assisi, Marshall St, 1114 S.21st St, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Doug LeCaptain, with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday June 1, 2022, at the Church from 9:00 am until the time of Mass at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Roncalli Catholic Schools music or athletic programs.
