Representative Shae Sortwell will be at the next Mishicot Village Board meeting to honor a man who helped a woman in her time of need.
In the early morning hours of April 26th, a 21-year-old Kewaunee County woman was traveling on Highway 42 north of Irish Road when her vehicle left the roadway.
She ended up striking a culvert and crashed into a barn.
Her vehicle burst into flames, but she was pulled from the vehicle by 41-year-old Adam Yelvington.
The woman was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries thanks to Yelvington’s quick and selfless actions.
He will be honored by Representative Sortwell at the meeting scheduled for next Tuesday inside Mishicot Village Hall.
That meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
