Students in Fond du Lac will not be in class today after a shooting threat was received.
The Fond du Lac Police Department was informed that several students had received a message on Snapchat, in which the sender threatened to shoot up a high school.
The threat stated that an 11th or 12th-grade student would have a weapon and would use it.
Classes were canceled out of an abundance of caution while police look for the culprit.
Anyone with any information on who may be responsible for the threat is encouraged to contact School Resource Officer Matthew Chevremont at 920-970-7951.
