The Big Ten can be expected to do away with its East-West divisions after a ruling by the NCAA Division One Council last week.
The council is leaving it up to conferences to determine how to set up their championship games.
The Pac-12 was the first to decide its conference championship game would put the top two teams.
Since the Big Ten is in an “alliance” with the Pac-12 and ACC you can expect it to follow suit – likely before the 2022 season starts.
