
Many parents are finding it difficult to talk with their kids about school shootings. Mental health professionals say it’s a good idea — but to keep it simple.

She said that we shouldn’t want to give them “more information than they need, because that can be upsetting and scary in and of itself.”
Walczak recommends being honest with your kids, but to also “keep it simple.”
