Two people are left without a home today following a fire last night in De Pere.
According to the De Pere Fire-Rescue Department, crews were called to a residence in the 2300 block of Indy Court at around 9:00 p.m.
When they arrived, the firefighters noted a moderate amount of smoke emanating from the single-story residence.
All of the occupants had exfiltrated the home, but there were still four pets inside.
One of the animals was rescued, but the other three did not survive their ordeal.
No other injuries were reported.
While the cause of the fire is still under investigation, we do know it caused an estimated $100,000 in damage.
