For the fifth consecutive week, Eastern Wisconsin Counties reported significant increases in the price of gas.
According to the AAA Gas Prices webpage, the average price per gallon of fuel in Manitowoc County clocked in this morning seven cents higher than it was at this point last week, sitting at $4.23.
Sheboygan County saw an 11-cent jump to $4.31, while Calumet County motorists are paying ten cents more at the pump, averaging $4.18.
Outagamie County reported the smallest increase of five cents, now averaging$4.14, while Brown County fuel is up eight cents per gallon with an average of $4.24.
Kewaunee County reported the largest spike, up 13 cents to $4.31, while Door County’s jump of 12 cents gives them the highest fuel price in the area of $4.40.
The state average also rose 10 cents to $4.32, and the national average is up 12 cents to $4.60.
While these prices are record highs, the price in California is even worse.
The average price in the Golden State is currently at $6.07, with one county even averaging $7.03 per gallon.
Oklahoma and Kansas are tied for the state with the least expensive fuel, both sitting at $4.06.
