The Washington Nationals scored six runs in the top of the fourth inning and cruised to an 8-2 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers Sunday afternoon at American Family Field.
Starter Freddy Peralta allowed five runs in three innings and Brent Suter allowed the final three runs in the big Washington inning.
The Brewers were held to just eight hits in the game.
Tyrone Taylor had a pair of those hits and drove in a run. Andrew McCutchen notched the other run batted in.
The Brewers, winners of six of their last ten, still maintain a three-game lead over St. Louis for first place in the National League Central.
Milwaukee opens a three-game road series at San Diego tonight with coverage on 107.9 FM WOMT beginning at 8:05 P.M.
They will face St. Louis for four on the road to end the week.
