Denmark High School has hired a new boys varsity head basketball coach, and he is a familiar figure around the Vikings program.
Pete Dewar replaces Cody Stelmach, who stepped down after this past season.
Dewar has served as the president of the Denmark Vikings Basketball Club since 2016.
Fellow Coach Mark Tomashek of Ashwaubenon and longtime teacher at Denmark really likes the hire, saying “Pete brings a deep love for the game of basketball. His passion and enthusiasm will be a great asset to the student-athletes in Denmark.”
The Vikings finished 18-9 last season.
