An Arizona teen has been arrested for making a threat toward the Sheboygan Area School District.
The threat was received on May 12th, and District officials quickly informed the Sheboygan Police Department.
An investigation determined that the threat was coming from outside of the state, so classes continued as normal.
However, the investigation continued, and it was determined the threats were coming from someone in Arizona.
The SPD contacted authorities in the state, who were able to execute a search warrant on a 14-year-old juvenile.
The suspect admitted to sending the threat and was apprehended.
Police also seized some electronic devices from the teen’s residence.
The SPD thanked the community for their help in the investigation and suggested parents talk to their children about the importance of behaving online.
