Friday’s mass shooting in Milwaukee isn’t expected to affect the city’s bid to host the 2024 Republican National Convention.
21 people were injured in incidents not far from the Deer District while the NBA Bucks were playing a playoff game.
RNC national spokesperson Paris Dennard says the determining factor will be each city’s overall plan.
Milwaukee and Nashville are the two finalists.
Nashville has reported 43 homicides and 122 non-fatal shootings this year.
That compares to 84 homicides in Milwaukee and 300 non-fatal shootings.
The Republicans are expected to make their decision this summer.
