After a day of rest, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers are back in action today, as they take on the visiting South Bend Cubs.
This is a key early-season series, as both teams are in contention for the top spot in the Midwest League’s West Division.
The Cedar Rapids Kernels currently hold the top spot, but the Rattlers are only two games behind the Kernels, and two games ahead of the Cubs.
Antoine Kelly will get the start for the Appleton-based Rattlers.
He enters the contest with one win on his record in six games started.
He has an ERA of 2.30, and 5.8 strikeouts per game. As of this morning, South Bend has not declared a starter.
First pitch at Fox Cities Stadium this evening is scheduled for 6:40 p.m.
