
The Manitowoc Lutheran Girls Track team made history last night.
The Lancers won their first-ever Big East Conference meet at Reedsville High School with a top score of 117.5 points, ahead of runner-up Oostburg at 105.
Brooklyn Luebke was named the Female Track Athlete of the Meet after winning 3 events, the 1600, 800, and 3200-meter races.
Her teammate, MonRaye Ermis, was chosen Female Field Athlete of the Meet following victories in the Shot Put and Discus.
Another conference champion for the Lancers was Emily Marohn in the Triple Jump, while Lutheran’s 4×200 and 4×400 meter Relay teams both placed 2nd.
Oostburg captured the Boys team championship followed by Hilbert in 2nd while Reedsville and Howards Grove tied for 3rd.
Brennen Dvorachek of the host Panthers was a double-winner in the 110 and 300-meter Hurdles.
Sho Fukasawa paced the Lancers with a 2nd place finish in the Long Jump as his team wound up 11th in the standings.
