Freddy Peralta and two relievers combined on a two-hit shutout Monday as the Brewers opened a home series with a 1-0 win over the Atlanta Braves.
Peralta blanked the Braves through seven innings then Devin Williams and Josh Hader struck out the last six batters to protect the victory.
Milwaukee scored the winning run in the sixth inning when Hunter Renfro doubled, went to third on a groundout, then scored on a wild pitch by losing pitcher Ian Anderson.
The Brewers were held to five hits in the low-scoring game.
They played without shortstop Willy Adames who injured an ankle Sunday.
