For the second time this season, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers came up one game short of a sweep in their series against the Quad Cities River Bandits.
The diference in this series is the loss that came in game four, which was held Friday evening, as opposed to in game six, which is what happened late last month.
The Ratters lost 8-7 on Friday but bounced back to win 8-7 on Saturday, and 4-1 yesterday.
The series finale was highlighted by a seven-inning, 10 strikeout performance by Rattler pitcher Brandon Knarr, who only allowed three hits, and walked one batter while allowing no runs to cross the plate.
He also picked up his 5th win of the year and has only been tagged with one loss.
The Rattlers will take today off before kicking off another six-game series, this time against the South Bend Cubs at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton.
