A man was nabbed for his 6th OWI offense in Manitowoc over the weekend.
The Manitowoc Police Department was informed of a vehicle driving erratically on Hamilton Street at around 11:15 Sunday evening.
The caller said that the dark-colored van nearly hit another vehicle and was now parked at the corner of Hamilton and South 15th Streets.
When the officer approached the vehicle, the 53-year-old male driver had an open beer in his hand.
He told the officer that he was going to pick up his girlfriend from a bar and admitted to having two beers.
The officer conducted a field sobriety test and brought him to Holy Family Memorial for a blood draw before arresting him with his 6th OWI.
He was also cited for Operating While Revoked, Failure to Install an Ignition Interlock Device, and Possession of Open Intoxicants in a Motor Vehicle.
