It’s fairly common knowledge that there’s a housing shortage in the Manitowoc area.
Brian Lodel is the owner of TLG Homes, an affiliate of the real estate company, the Lodel Group of Keller Williams.
Lodel tells Seehafer News he formed the company after seeing a need to combat the inventory problem that exists in Manitowoc County.
“We definitely have a dire need for more inventory as we do have a shortage,” he said. “Currently as we sit right now there are only 9 available homes to purchase in the city of Manitowoc, per the MLS. And that includes a wide price range from a low of $54,000 all the way up to $700,000.”
In addition, the Manitowoc native said his group is looking at creating more land options because we are under 40 buildable lots available “...which could be used up fairly quick with the current inventory. We’re starting on a smaller project that we’re hoping to break ground in the next month for a little bit better-priced home that we can create. And then we’re also in discussions on expansions on a larger project to create more lot availability for the future.”
Lodel explains the smaller scale project is on the city’s northside and abuts a condo association already, while the larger development is on the southwest side of town and has close access to shopping and I-43.
