The temperature was hot and so were the bats last night as the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers blasted the Quad Cities River Bandits 17-4.
The thermometer reached nearly 90 degrees in Davenport Iowa for the game which saw the Rattlers accumulate 16 hits, four of which went yard.
The Rattlers scored one run in each of the first three innings before exploding for five in the 4th inning on the back of a three-run blast by Tyler Black.
The Rattlers also batted in six runs in the 7th inning and allowed no runs in the final three frames.
Those three innings were pitched by Joey Matulovich who only allowed one base runner via walk.
The Rattlers are back at it again tonight at Modern Woodmen Park as the Rattlers’ Antoine Kelly faces off against Adrian Alcantara.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
