Oak Creek police say a shoplifting suspect was killed when he was hit by a car while he was running from the scene.
Officers were called to a Menards home improvement store at about 12:45 p.m. Tuesday.
They were told a man matching the suspect’s description was seen running northbound from the store.
Shortly after that police received a report that a man had been hit by a vehicle about three blocks away.
The 41-year-old man who was hit died before he could be taken to the hospital.
His name hasn’t been released.
