Manitowoc Lincoln has moved into a 3-way tie for 1st place in the FRCC boys baseball race with a 10-to-3 win over Green Bay Preble at Joannes Park last night.
The Ships (now 10-3 in league, 11-4 overall) jumped out early on the Hornets, scoring 7 runs in the top of the first inning.
Coach Bruce Steinbecker’s team displayed a balanced offensive attack.
Alex Lensmeyer was 3-for-4 with 2-RBI’s, Bryce- Erdmann was 2-for-3 including a double, Noah Wech went 2-for-5 with 3-runs batted in, and Brayden Steinbecker goes 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored.
Wech was the starting and winning pitcher, as he struck out 9 Preble hitters in 5-innings.
Ashton Portmann finished up with 2 scoreless innings in relief.
Lincoln is scheduled to travel to Sheboygan South for its’ next game on Friday.
