Fire investigators say they don’t believe a fire at a Marinette County scrap metal business was set intentionally.
It took emergency responders about 12 hours to put out the flames at Sal B Scrap Metal and Recycling.
Town of Peshtigo Fire Chief Mike Folgert says they have a good idea of where the fire started in a metal pile, but aren’t sure yet of the cause.
Nearby Highway 64 was shut down to traffic for about 11 hours as the fire burned through the night.
It was reopened at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.
No injuries have been reported.
