A home caught fire in Luxemburg over the weekend, and the Luxemburg Community Fire Department says it was caused by an electrical malfunction.
Crews were called to the home located at N7034 County Road AB at around 10:15 a.m.
The homeowner was not at the residence when they arrived, so crews began to battle the inferno.
They did have to back away for a while when the roof showed signs of collapsing, but crews were able to re-enter the residence to attack the fire in the attic.
There were no injuries, but the home did sustain what has been termed “significant fire, smoke, and water damage.”
