There wasn’t a whole lot of scoring last night at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton, at least not until the 9th inning.
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and Fort Wayne Tin Caps carried a 1-1 tie into the final frame, but the Indiana team prevailed 4-3.
It was a bullpen night for both teams, as each skipper called on five different pitchers.
The Rattlers’ Antoine Kelly had a great night on the mound, pitching the first 5 innings and striking out 10 while only allowing 1 hit.
James Meeker was tabbed with the loss after he came on in the 9th inning and gave up the three decisive runs.
The Rattler bats simply were working, as all three runs were scored via walks or by being hit by pitches.
The two Midwest League teams will square off for game four of their six-game series tonight at Fox Cities Stadium on what is being billed as Ghostbusters Night.
