Anglers, grab your poles because fishing season officially opens up tomorrow in Wisconsin.
No matter where anglers decide to fish, all Wisconsin residents and non-residents over the age of 16 are required to purchase a fishing license.
You can buy licenses through the DNR’s Go Wild portal or from a licensed agent.
The DNR suggests that those out fishing make sure they practice safe and sober boat operations, always wear a life jacket while on a boat, and know the state and local regulations for where you are fishing.
Based on early season fishing reports, the DNR predicts anglers across the state will have a successful opening weekend despite a slower spring thaw.
You can get more information by visiting the DNR’s Fishing website.
