An Appleton man has been sentenced in a wire fraud and money laundering case.
57-year-old Robert Narvett has been ordered to spend 15-years in prison and to pay restitution to his victims.
Narvett reportedly defrauded nearly 70 people to the tune of more than $2 million over the stretch of over 10 years.
Several of his victims, which included his own family, friends, and neighbors were at his sentencing, where they described how their lives were forever changed by his actions.
Judge William Griesbach said that the case has the earmarks of a violent crime due to how his victims were impacted and that the 15-year sentence was intended to send a message to other would-be financial criminals.
