An Appleton man convicted for taking secret videos in the bathrooms at Lawrence University has been sentenced.
23-year-old Benjamine Wears was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on nine counts of Capturing an Intimate Representation and two counts of Burglary and will spend three years in prison.
That will be followed by three years of extended supervision and three years of probation. Wears must also register as a sex offender.
He admitted to police that he had secretly recorded videos in bathroom stalls at Lawrence University in Appleton and attempted to record people in their dorm rooms.
He had previously been kicked out of Notre Dame University for similar actions.
