Those looking to buy a home for the first time have more to learn about homeownership than they may realize.
Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Sheboygan is looking to help potential and prospective home buyers with their upcoming homeownership class scheduled for next weekend.
The educational session is scheduled for Saturday, May 14th, and will be held at the Mead Public Library from 9:00 until 4:00 p.m.
Executive Director Daryl Mangeri told Seehafer News, “This class really covers all the nuts and bolts for not only preparing to buy a home…but it also delves into anything they may have to do as a precursor to buying, such as boosting their credit score. We also talk about maintaining the home and the proper amounts of insurance coverage.”
As for what makes this class different from others, Mangeri said, “We have industry leaders that come in and speak very specifically and penitently to what a first-time home buyer would need to know. They walk out with a certificate and some lenders will accept the certificate of participating in the class toward their down payment assistance programs.”
A lunch, and a certificate of completion for all participants.
The class size is limited, so if you are interested in attending, you are encouraged to call CCCS by next Monday at 800-350-2227.
