A technology drive to benefit the Roncalli High School Green Club is scheduled for this Saturday.
According to a news release, items to be accepted on May 7th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 2000 Mirro Drive include old computers, cellphones, memory chips, computer accessories, such as keyboards, and computer parts like circuit boards, televisions, and monitors.
All those donated items brought to the high school parking lot Saturday will be recycled.
Those with donations may drive through the parking lot to unload and donate outdated electronics directly from their vehicles.
A donation of any amount will be accepted for tv’s and monitors, as those will cost 50-cents per pound to recycle.
Free-will donations are accepted for all other items and they’ll go toward paying for the recycling, as well as the Green Club’s future environmental projects.
