The Brown County Sheriff is blaming REDI Transports for the situation in March where a convict escaped custody.
Tyler Martinez, who is facing numerous charges in Brown County, was caught in California and was scheduled to be transported to Green Bay.
While being transported, Martinez somehow escaped custody at Chicago O’Hare International Airport and was on the lam for four days.
He was finally caught and was successfully brought back to Green Bay.
Brown County Sheriff Todd Delain says that REDI Transports was not following company policy and procedure during the move, which is what led to Martinez escaping.
He said bluntly the situation was caused by complacency and the fact that only one person was with Martinez during the trip.
