The Brewers have activated third baseman Luis Urias for the three-game series against the Cincinnati Reds.
To make room for Urias on the 26-man roster Milwaukee designated pitcher Jose Urena for assignment.
Urena put up no win-loss record and had a 3.52 earned run average in four relief appearances for the Brewers.
The 24-year-old Urias has been sidelined with a quadriceps injury since spring training.
He has been on a rehabilitation assignment with Double-A Biloxi for the last several days.
Urias hit .249 with 23 homers and 75 runs batted in last season.
Game one of the Brewers’ series against the struggling Reds at American Family Field will be aired on 107.9 FM WOMT starting at 6:05 p.m.
