Golfers convened at the Hilly Haven Golf Course in De Pere Saturday afternoon to help support those affected by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The rainy conditions did not deter the over 160 golfers, as they helped raise $33,233 for Wisconsin Ukrainians Inc, which helps send supplies and funds to Ukraine.
Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24th, leading to the mass exodus of many citizens to nearby Poland.
Now, two months on, there is no sign of President Vladimir Putin pulling back any time soon.
Wisconsin Ukrainians have purchased and distributed over $100,000 worth of tourniquets, first aid kits, and other items needed to aid Ukrainians.
