A major construction project is set to begin next week in Sheboygan.
Crews will begin replacing damaged and cracked sections of concrete on Calumet Drive between Saemann and Geele Avenues and will be working on repairing sections of the storm and sanitary sewers.
The project is being split into two phases, with the first part taking place in the southbound lanes of traffic.
This means that motorists traveling south will be rerouted onto North Avenue and North 15th Street for an estimated five to six weeks.
Then, once those lanes are done, the roles will be reversed, the northbound lanes will be worked on, and that traffic will be rerouted.
Work is expected to be completed on or by July 4th as long as the weather cooperates.
