
The Green Bay Police Department has released video footage of a nearly tragic incident that involved one of their motorcycle patrol officers.
SGT Sean Hamill was conducting a traffic stop on April 19th underneath a bridge, when a vehicle slammed into his motorcycle.
SGT Hamill was inputting data on his computer at the time and suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, who has not been identified, fled the scene but was apprehended a short time later.
He was charged with Hit and Run Causing Injury, Inattentive Driving, and Operating Without a Valid License.
The GBPD is reminding motorists to remain focused while on the roads and to be warry of pedestrians, bicycles, and motorcyclists that are returning to the roadways.
