Shortstop Willy Adames supplied the power with two homers as the Brewers’ bats finally came alive Tuesday in a 12-8 victory at Pittsburgh.
Milwaukee took over first place in the National League Central Division with the victory.
Adames went four-for-five with seven runs batted in.
Brent Suter picked up the victory with two innings of relief and Josh Hader nailed down Major League Baseball-leading save number nine.
Starter Brandon Woodruff lasted only four innings.
