After four postponements this spring, EWC boys golf teams were finally able to get out on the links yesterday afternoon.
Sheboygan Falls surprised defending champion Roncalli at Quit Qui Oc Golf Club in Elkhart Lake.
The Falcons placed 1st with a 175 total, 5 strokes better than the runner-up Jets. Host Kiel was 3rd, 9 shots off the pace, and Valders was 4th.
The co-op of Two Rivers/Mishicot wound up 7th.
Individually, Andrew Kettle of ‘Falls was medalist with a 40, his teammate Jack Guenther was 2-shots behind and Kiel’s Mitchel Endries posted a 43 for 3rd place.
The Jets combo of John Oberbroeckling and Luke Pautz tied for 4th at 44.
Dylan Bramstedt led the Vikings with a 46, while Alexis Bohm and Alex Thielber paced TR/Mishicot with scores of 54.
It was the first of seven Eastern Wisconsin Conference golf tour mini-meets.
