The 23-year-old Green Bay man facing charges in a fatal crash last year is requesting a continuance, which means the postponement or suspension of a trial or court proceeding.
Abdi Ahmed has been charged with three counts of 1st Degree Reckless Homicide after his alleged reckless driving caused the deaths of three people.
His trial is currently scheduled to begin on June 6th, but a hearing has been scheduled for May 20th to rule on this latest request.
28-year-old Jesse L. Saldana, 27-year-old Sonia D. Gonzalez-Guillen, and 57-year-old Sonia V. Gonzalez passed away after Ahmed reportedly struck their vehicle while traveling 94 miles per hour on Lombardi Avenue on December 17th, 2021.
