The Brewers dropped a 4-2 game to the San Francisco Giants Monday night when the bullpen collapsed.
Corbin Burnes had shut out the Giants on two hits in six-and-two-thirds innings, but Milwaukee couldn’t hold on to the narrow 1-0 lead.
A two-run homer by rookie Luis Gonzalez gave San Francisco the win in a make-up game dropped into the schedule on what was originally a day off for the players.
Willy Adames slammed his second home run for the Brewers in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Relievers Trevor Gott and Jake Cousins gave up all four runs.
The schedule returns to normal tonight with Brandon Woodruff starting the game in Pittsburgh against the Pirates.
