The Manitowoc County Mariners are preparing for their spring and summer schedule with the season opener one week from this Saturday.
The local semi-pro football team is coached by Brent Luebke, now in his 2nd year and they’ll play a 10- game schedule as part of the Northern Lights Football League.
Team President Marcos Alfaro Senior tells us the Mariners will open the season on Saturday, April 30th against the Fox River Raiders, of the Oshkosh area, at Ron Rubick Municipal Field.
It will be a 4:00 p.m. kickoff and will be the first of 4 Home games to be played this year at Rubick Field.
A 5th home game on May 14th is set for Magee Elementary School in Two Rivers.
