
When he returns to Dane County Court in July Eric Mehring is expected to change his plea.
He faces six homicide charges – three counts of second-degree reckless homicide and three counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle.
Prosecutors say 30-year-old Eric Mehring was driving last year when his car crashed into the back of another car carrying three high school students from Middleton
Jack Miller, Evan Kratochwill, and Simon Bilessi died in the crash.
A not guilty plea was entered for Mehring in January.
